Liberty and Justice for Sale

The time they are a changing , Bob Dylan made that statement years ago and as I drink my coffee this morning I'm reminded of all the problems of our parents and grand parents in the past few decades . Every generation has its chance to thumb its nose at the those in office, and law enforcement . I will will try not to use words like Leadership, Officials, or those in charge . Its time to change my way of thinking .The thing that separates some of the movements in our culture, is the bridging of generations and life style in these upstarts that converts them into revolutions . I wont go way back in the day preaching about the great American revolution, or the liberation of the slaves . No one reading this took part in any of those great adventures, so I will leave them to the Tea Party and others who chose to ride the coat tails of the dead .
My parents lived and survived the sixties I would have loved to have been part of some of those times . They seen the civil rights movement at its prime, and did a great job laying down the ground work for protests and public disobedience today. I believe this is the point we today need to concentrate on . This is where the message gets lost, and we become sold out . The worlds largest generation with no chance to loose and nothing but time had come of age. With new Televisions in every home and network reports desperate for a story it was easy to fuel the movements of the day . Faces that would some day play a part in world policy quickly took the stage and never looked back . Laws, policies, and taxes all wrote and amendment at will still to today to fit the specific needs and desires of this generation . For over twenty years this generation has held control over our nation . For years opposition to the will of the boomers has quickly earned those who stand up a trip to prison or worst . Was it calculated baby boomers came from families with an average of four kids, but as a generation had an average of only one child per household ? Those who run for office have become overnight millionaires . Even more curious is those who loose office never actually go away just wait six months and they are back, or in charge of some corporation or new department . The trust no one generation quickly became the control everyone generation.
In 1992 Bill Clinton on Mtv spoke with new first time voters . This was a great move and insured the win in the upcoming election . He spoke of programs for heath care, free collage tuition , guarantied home ownership, blue collar and white collar job preservation , tax cuts ,and family tax cuts for those of us in our generation . I know this because as a  member of this age group  it was cool to think this guy running for president wanted to speak to us on our ground . We responded just as expected and he was in office just months after this picture was taken . Not a one of the promises made that day was kept in fact it was just the opposite . He did a great job at not doing much and letting the economy do what it needed to grow . We all payed more in taxes but had jobs so no one minded . A short time latter at a white house correspondents dinner Clinton would call us " generation x the useless generation of America " hell of a way to return an election . This was not aired on Mtv we had Ren and Stimpy to keep us licking the screens . But the polarization had started in 1994 he was asked about the promises in 92 and answered " those are just angry white men " . This was the wedge that started the divide and our nation has never recovered . Those that marched for civil rights would now use race and social standing to divide and deceive . This worked so well that Bill had actually declared himself the first black president, and used that status as well as stand offs with racists organizations to swing the vote to an easy win in 1996 . Sex scandals and the White water deal at this point could not slow or kill the legacy . And still to today the Clinton name remains a part in American politics .
Bill while being arguably the best at sticking around with or without the aid of his wife is not the only one . The boomers for life club members list reads like a role call for the 1% monarchy of America . With names like Bush, McCain, Kerry, Gore, Boehner and plenty of others its safe to say they have no plans of yielding any time soon . Change and hope is a common theme thrown from both side at every election . They buy new suits give a few speeches and elect the guy that lost last week . So how do we get change ? Are we all supposed to hope they get bored and move on? The entire thing has become a joke and is making the land of the free a global joke on those of us born after the fifty's . The only way we can ever have the hope or the change they wish to use as bait is to remove all of them . Our revolving door of stupidity needs to close with them on the outside . I believe Progressive political change in our capital is possible for all if we first remove the clog in the pipes . Libertarian, conservative, and liberal working together will be successful if they all remember what we learned as kids on the playground and just try to get along. Our founding fathers did it with a little debate and some cooperation . We as those fed up

with the same old song and dance have a chance
to start this change. Boomers have began the trip down the slide to the retirement village. As numbers of the largest generation slowly starts to count backwards political grip slips as well . The big question is did they win ? Are we so divided by race, sex , social standing that we cant pull together for a win ? Have they sold us the lie of not counting so well that we will buy it till they are dead and gone ? A couple years ago most of America believed that 911 was a terrorist attack, and our government had no involvement that has changed now . If they know you want them out dont you think they might try to keep you from voting them out ?
The little known fact that is being well hidden is that those between the ages of 17-32 out number boomers and will be the deciding votes in the next big election . This is not the kind of fact they would like the angry youth knowing . I believe this to be at the core of the dont vote movement . This is a simple way to silence a great number of people with little effort . All it would take is a well placed rumor planted on the web and a few good spokespersons to play fool . Would it shock you to think they would use the web against you ? They have seen more people getting news and information from the web now then the TV because its a more reliable source . We have used the web to unite and spread truth . They have responded with SOPA, TPP, NDAA, and NSA spy programs .
Every lie they advance on television we destroy
on line . We even have a growing number of our population that now believes that the government may not be fully responsible, but did play a part in some of the great tragedies that have unfolded over the past year Boston,Sandy Hook, Aurora . Its not that hard to believe as the same faces show up in all these cities with new names and lives to go with them . A number of whistle blower have stepped forward to lead the charge and have payed the price with prison sentences and exile away from loved ones and all they know and love . This shows just how deep the fear runs not five years ago we had public service messages on the television every night .They told us we needed to rat the boss out for stolen copies of window on office computers it was a crime and whistle blowers are heroes . Anyone besides me feeling scammed yet ? Boomers had lots to loose as the average member of the generation retired . Everything that could be done was from protecting profits on software, raising retirement and social security eligibility ages for those not in the boomers generation , and collapsing markets after money was transfer to secure accounts to cover all tracks . I guess some of this could be a coincidence but im seeing a string of them .  Its just food for thought keep it in mind and use yours mine needs a break .
