OSU police on the hunt to join the League of Revenue Rangers & Brutality Huns

   First off I think its shameful that the university has
become the kind of place a post like this could be
aimed at . At one time the Ohio state university lead the nation in academics and sports . They had no police force in those days and High st. was nothing but bars for four city blocks . I lived in a couple dirty little apartments down there just off of campus in my younger days and the Columbus cops did a good enough job at harassing the public . The idea of a university police department was for on campus security . Drunk frat boys made fun of rent a cops so it was hard to keep those jobs filled till the full badge was given to them . So whats the deal now with on campus crime growing and campus police patrolling off campus locations ? Why are they so concerned about issues down the road but no in the dorms ?
   Revenue plane and simple its a matter of greed . Its not that they want you to get mugged, or raped on your way home from a party . They will send an officer by to fill out your report, but only  after he issues a few tickets for underage drinking at a party off campus . Its just not profitable to baby sit the dorms where students live and are not allowed to get drunk . Now if you would all break the law more so they could ticket and arrest you more often then they would not need to go off campus . I know that might screw up your scholarships and effect your gpa but sacrifices must be made . You do understand that these officers all members of the FOP have families and union dues so they need the money and regular pay raises as well as benefits  .

    How do you expect them to buy toys like this to protect the crap out of you with out ticket revenue ? Yes the story's  from the dispatch and the lantern are both linked below . This is the new patrol vehicle purchased by campus police . I remember all those times my life was in grave danger on campus . I lived in constant fear that I would be killed at any time . If only there was a killing truck with a machine gun nest able to withstand mines and rocket attacks  patrolling the streets . Oh wait silly me this is osu half the off campus streets in the area this thing wont be able to fit down .  Never mind the 3mpg. this thing gets on the road . I cant wait for this springs party season it will be funny to see how many cars they destroy with this thing in the name of a 19 year old drinking a beer . If you are on the alumni boards at the campus don't you think its time to catch the idiot running this department and send him to special ed. ????
