The next Great step in Law Enforcement, and how we as Citizens can exploit it

   This is an idea whose time is well past due and needed  . We have seen intrusions into our personal privacy for years its time this favor was returned . On street corners all over our country new red light, and community policing cameras are popping up . These are placed for no other reason then to drive up revenue, and increase arrest
numbers  . Couple these with the new drones that some local Police departments have begun to purchase to further stack the deck and we have all the eyes upon us . Cruiser cameras serve some purpose, but often prove to not be of use in a chase or with a cop who is up to no good .This problem only get worst if you end up in court . Our legal system has a fatal error in it that's us the voters . 97% of Judges in the United States have an endorsement from the F.O.P.  in short we elect those who have already agreed to take the side of the cops . Keep this in mind if you vote never side with those that side with the one who arrests you . You may not be a criminal today but we have all seen cops make criminals to cover their own butts if needed .
   That's why I'm so happy to see this new thing some department have started using to police their own police . They call them Lapel cams and officers in L.A. will be issued them as part of the uniform .This small device with a built in mic. is the best baby sitter for a badged bully that money can buy . Some of the
departments experimenting with these have even
received compliment calls for the public . With this attached to the officers person its a little harder to bait off camera for a response that will be seen on camera . I myself have had an officer try that with me, it will be nice to have proof that the officer can not turn off . Some people say well that will only benefit the officer not true .  
   Here  is how it benefits you besides the obvious camera they cant hide from . I know some will say all they have to do is cover it as they beat you . True for one but that always happens while three or four supposed good cops watch so you got the cams on their lapels . This may be  a little different in other states but will be along the same basic line . Each county has a hall of records and all documents are available to be viewed and copied by you the Citizen . Every officer of every branch of law enforcement is required to sign a release for recording of his image and voice while working . They can not refuse and you may obtain a copy at the hall of records . If you capture film or recordings remember this, if they tell you to stop inform them of that information . They do not like having to sign  it and if they know you know they have signed the form it scares them  .  Keep this in mind and scare them into behaving till they all have lapel cams . Record every conversation with them no matter how small . Its time to let these guys know if they will not behave then we will photograph every moment of their career .
   Kelly Thomas paid a price I believe way to high to open our eyes to the power of a cameras. Proof of Judges we are only loyal to the Fraternal Order of Police / F.O.P. can be seen in the officers not guilty verdicts. Its time for us to demand more from law enforcement and judges who engage in cronyism . To say that its just a few bad seeds is no longer tolerable and the city of Los Angeles it seems gets that .
